WinXP differences, please explain to me

I was just hoping someone can tell me what the differences are between Pro and server and what most recommend that I use. I also have an Aureal soundcard, would I have problems with drivers for that soundcard since it didn't work in win2K? Any other advantages to the OS? I use win98SE right now, just wondering if I should upgrade. any help would be great, thanks guys.
Oh, and what's this WindowsXP plus pack?

The core of each is identical. It will similar to 2000 vs. 2000server. Basicly, server will handle more than 2 processors, and have many other server related programs and utilities incorporated.

Go woth Pro if you are just running a workstation (which I think you are since you have 98SE). Don't worry about the Plus Pack unless you can get it for free... It's not worth paying for.

From what I've heard, Aureal card owners are in luck because there are drivers included in WinXP for their cards. However before you get too excited about this, you should read this article.
