WinXP: Device mgr sees new SSD but file mgr does not??

cpu= AMD X2 6000, mobo= asus m2r32-mvp

added a patriot torqx2 32gig SSD as my D: drive. (i want to update the firmware <TRIM???> first before making it my new c: drive).

winXP sees it in device manager, but file manager does not.

Whats wrong?
