WinXP+Counterstrike+RefreshRate ?

Anybody know how to increase the refresh rate for my Radeon LE & Counterstrike. I'm using WindowsXP, and this refresh rate wasn't a problem in Windows98 SE. This 60 Hz is killing my eyes.. 🙂
 
a little known tweak (even for geforce users who use nvrefreshfix) is that HL and each mod folder have a config.cfg file that specifies a maximum refresh rate for the game, default at 72fps. it is called max_fps and it is near the middle-end of the file usually. even with nvrefreshfix on my gf3 i was gettin 72 fps till i made max_fps "150" and i have gotten 99fps constantly.
 
you are right.

just wanted to post a remember that the most Half-life will render is 100, (so don't beat yourself up trying to get more than fps_max =100)

[note: you can enter this from the console during play if you don't feel like chasing down the config files]
