I keep getting BSOD's in WinXP all of a sudden starting about a week ago.... it all started when I was playing GTA3. My system froze up with my display are garbled.. I then rebooted and got an "nv4_disp" BSOD.. rebooted again and got several other BSODs. I figured it might be a memory problem even though it indicated as an nvidia driver problem... I was skeptical cuz these 29.42's never gave me a problem since they came out before that day.
Well anyway.. I took out one of my memory modules and the BSOD's stopped.. most of them anyway. Now on occasion I get BSOD's that say "Process_has_locked_pages"
It could also be a VIA 4-1 problem too... after I took out that one memory module, I was able to bootup into WinXP but my display adapter wasn't recognized... heck, it wasn't even detected. WinXP thought I didn't even have a display adapter... but after re-installing the 4.40 version of the 4in1's, I got it to work again.
any ideas? I don't want to have to re-install winxp.. but if I have to.. it'll be a pain in the ass..
