WinXP and Windows 98/ME networking, cant ping each other

Just formatted, I can ping myself on both computers..

Before the format I didnt have any problems (Both had WinXP, SP1 and SP2 on the other)

Now the laptop with winXP SP2 cannot ping the winME computer, (I tried 98 and ME)

Ive always had a problem with this computer and networking in win9x...

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Thanks 🙂

BTW: im using a hub with 2 patch cables, I tried a cross over, nothing works. None of the devices are conflicting.. I ran out of ideas
