WinXp and vpn problem

I'm having a problem connecting to my employer's vpn with winxp. I've got a laptop set up to dual boot with WinXP and WinMe. I've got a dial up connection on it along with a wireless network card and router to share my cable modem connection. I can connect to the VPN with WinME using either dial up or the wireless network connection. I can also connect to the VPN using dial up in WinXP. What I cannot do (and of course this is my preferred connection) is use the connection with WinXP and my wireless network. I can actually connect with the client software, but cannot browse the company intranet (which I can do with WinME dial up and network or WinXP dial up). Any suggestions? TIA.

P.S I've checked the network settings for the wireless connection and I do not have WinXP's firewall enabled.

I still need help. I know there are some brains out there, so I've got some more information. First of all, I'm using Nortel Netwoks Contivity 4.6 with entrust security. I cannot get support from my company, because this was originally setup for windows 98 and they will not support WinXP. I actually have been able to surf their intranet a few times using my broadband connection and WinXP. It seems like sometimes it works, but most of the time it doesn't. There must be some kind of setting I'm missing, because it works flawlessly in ME with the broadband connection. I am using the older company supplied Extranet client with ME though.
