WinXP and Voodoo 3 3000

I cant get my Voodoo 3 3000 to work in winxp in openGL when I go to play HL. It says my video card doesn't support it but I know it does cause it used to work in win2k.

time to upgrade, 3dfx cards are not, and will not be supported by windows XP.

well every else works fine the drivers installed etc.. but when i go to play HL in openGL it doesnt work

Unfortunately noone is really responsible for supporting your Voodoo 3000 anymore. Using it with xp is really pushing your luck it might cause all kinds of problems. You can get a nice Hercules Prophet II MX card like I have for under 100 dollars now. It is a great card for the money and it works great in XP. In fact games are running better so far under XP.

So basically I should just get a new video card??

I am very suprised my sound card works..geez i have had it since 96 its some old sound blaster but it works fine..go figure!

Other than that my system is very very up to date with 512 ram and a tbird@1.3ghz
