Little problem with XP, My default resolution is 1154 *864 and is set at 75 Hz refresh rate 32 bit colors, but when I start a game like Deus Ex with the same 32 bit colors and resolution, the refresh rate changes to 60 Hz, how is this possible ?
With with windows 98 the desktop refresh rate was equal to the one used in games, how can I fix this ?

MetalTimmy, can you get into dxdiag for directx still in XP? go to run on the start menu, type in dxdiag. if not, it should be in c:\program files\directx\ or one of the subfolders. Go to the last tab (more help), click the override button, and then enter the desired refresh rate. Tells directx to tell games to run at that refresh rate. Might solve your problem.

Wluk, sometimes when you install/update video drivers, your monitor is set back to default... make sure the correct monitor is detected, or you'll be stuck at 60 htz. Hope this helps, as it might be another problem.

Good luck to both of you.
