In my Win2000 box, when I open command prompt cmd (it goes to C: ). In the Win XP Pro when I go to Run ,than type "cmd" it goes to Documents and Settings/myusername. Where I can change the path, in such way tthat, I would able to go to C: instead of the path.

Thanks

By default the cmd.exe starts in your user path any time you use the Start>Run>cmd method.

I haven't figured out how to get it to start in C:\ using that method either. So I just made a shortcut to it and in the "Start in:" area of the shortcut properties just put C:\.
