WinXP and Acoustic Edge....need some help

Ive got the Win2k WDM latest drivers installed, everything seems to work but I'm getting alot of popping, wierd sounds in games, cd's, and the desktop.
Any fixes for this? SHould I just go back to Win2k SP2?
