I picked one of these TV cards up today and it really sucks! no digital signature from Microsoft...I rather go with the ATI's TV wonder ve at $39.99 after $10 rebate.

The current drivers and MMC (was using MMC 7.1) brought new life to my TV Wonder VE. I got it for $30 AR like a year ago. It's a pretty good card for what it's worth.

And it's compatible with SnapStrem. My card (Leadtek WinFast 2000 XP) isn't, and unfortunately neither is this Hauppage card. But thanks for the post. ;)

The next generation card should allow direct tuning of the digital cable channels, and thats kind essential eventually.

Thanks for the post. Picked me up one today. Almost thought they were out. I had to have the guy go lookin' for one for about 15 min. but he finally found it! I've been looking to buy one of these cards for quite some time. Glad I waited and got a great deal. Thanks again!

I got this last year, its a decent card for begginers. I've had some problems with it while watching programs. Also when I try capturing video, it sometimes freezes if the right settings aren't chosen. Next card I get will definately have a remote for sure.

Can one of these be used for digital video cameras as well? Or do those just require Firewire or USB2?

The hauppauge card is DEFINITELY compatible with Snapstream's BeyondTV. This card is NOT compatible with SageTV

<---been using his WinTV for about a few weeks now with BeyondTV

Works like a charm on my 955DF. It has a bit of snow on my VG191 but I guess that's a given for LCD monitors.

Anyone know how to hook this up with the creative remote??

Maybe someone can help me with this. But I am not getting all the stations on my card very clearly. I have cable TV. And my TV gets about 100 stations crystal clear. But for some reason I can't get my card to get clear TV. I have the TV cable running behind my reciever and computer. Would my computer and/or reciever be interferring with the cable signal? Please help!! Thanks.

Hi,

I've been using this card for about a year or so now and it works "as advertised". The audio is mono though. I think I even used it with Snapstream at one time, but these days, I've been using the PowerVCR or whatever software that comes with the card.

As debugging, unplug your cable from the TV set and connect that to the computer.
Did the quality improve?

Sometimes, shielding quality of the cable is related to the quality of the pictures.
