WinTV-D

I have been reading a lot about the WinTV-D recently. I understand that you need an antenna to get the DTV channels. This brings up a few questions:

1. If the DTV channels are transmitted through the air, how do providers charge you for the channels??!?
2. I live in London Ontario Canada. How do I find out if there are any channels available in my area?
3. What are the price ranges for antennas? (Anyone have any links?)

Thanks for any help.

1.) No charge--at least in the USA. The gov't decided that'll be the next standard.
Just like when gov'ts around the world decided to standardize color tv. Just the next step
2.) You should check out your local channel's web pages...currently, most of the major and some
of the minor markets in the US are broadcasting digital and analog signals
3.) try RadioShack America's "favorite" store ;-)
