Wintergreen Barebones PC $29.99AR

I was wondering about this big rebate... almost took the bait. MIR is the only thing that makes it attractive.

Something also smells with the mobo bundle on Tiger's list. It shows an Asus A8V deluxe bundled with an Athlon64 3400+ for $299 AR. BUT, the 3400 does not come in 939, does it? So they send you a 939 mobo and a 754 chip and then force you to deal with Tiger CSRs (shudder). It would be a killer price for that bundle if the parts actually worked together. Does anyone see me missing something? The other catch is that the special price includes a $100 AMD rebate, which I assume might be a shade better than a Tiger one, correct?
 
I think it is a good deal for only $29.99AR make sure you read the instructions carefully before sending rebates. I bought few things from tigerdirect before, and i got my rebates.
 
I think its a great deal too..just dont forget to add the Sony 1.44MB floppy disk and the 'Famous' Brand' 17" beige monitor on the side menu:laugh:
 
Got the shipment today--rebates ask for serial #s for the mobo/cdrw drive...which i can't seem to find anywhere on them...anyone else trying to fill these out? Also-the only UPC i can see is the one stuck on the back of the case...this the one we're using? Thanks for the feedback.

AMD Athlon 64 3400+ seems to be real, Newegg also carries it HERE.
 
REBATE INFO: Just got off the phone w/Wintergreen (yes, they called *me* back), use the UPC off the back of the system, the SN for the mobo is on the top of the Paralell (sp) port and starts w/ EA, the SN for the cdrw is on the top (take it outta the system) on the yellow part of the label and starts w/ an 8. Hope everybody gets their $$$$, keep updates posted here guys!
 
Wintergreen? Nahhhh.......I'll wait for the Pep-O-Mint barebones!! LOL 😉

TD always loses me with their atrocious shipping and lousy feedback on their rebates. 😛

The case is the worst case ive ever seen, thinest metal ever seen, front only partly covered metal
psu.. who knows probably crap, we'll see
got myself free fan after rebate
free optical mouse after rebate and
128mb ddr $20 after rebate at same time also

but past is the past at $129 now its no great deal
