you don't say, Yesterday on the news they said it was 45 degrees colder this year vs last year at this time

Last night, one weatherman said 1", the other said 5". 5" of the lightest fluffiest lake effect snow from Lake Erie. Took about 10 seconds to clear all the windows off on the van this morning. I don't really mind it; wish I had time to be doing maple syrup this year - friends doing it are reporting a really good year so far, especially compared to last year.

The only thing that sucked was that extremely high wind gusts blew a lid off one of my two bee hives & I didn't notice for a couple of days. Looks like all the bees died from the cold. In good news, they left behind at least 50 pounds of honey for me.

sorry to hear the bees died.

I know bees are having a hard time everywhere.

I am hopeful we will have a good apple crop this year. Last year was horrible due to the hard late frost.

If this weather keeps up, syrup season may be extended here.

This has been a weird winter where I am. I forget that its actually snowed a lot but for some reason the storms are always mostly south of me so it just hasn't been much of anything around my home. The March storm didn't really bother me much because I just haven't had to run the snowblower much and there haven't even been that many awful driving days for my commute.

Mid 70's earlier this week. Forecast is 2" of snow for Friday. In Alabama. 2". Of fucking snow. On fucking Friday. 😵

It was 2f this morning. Yesterday after work I finally tackled the 4 foot drift that runs between the house and my front driveway. It was a way of keeping everyone away, but for some reason the wife wants visitors.

While last year we had 20 to 30 above normal all spring, this spring being a bit cooler isn't all that rare or extreme. So it's 15 degrees F outside, big deal, it often snows in April and sometimes in May...

Been warming up on and off here. It's actually above zero today.

This was my drive home this morning, it got warm the day before too so it created frost on all the tree branches.

It's actually nice to see that it's not pitch black anymore in the morning.
