Trojan virus.
This variant is similar to W32/Sobig.d@MM. The worm propagates via email and over network shares. It contains its own SMTP engine for constructing outgoing messages. The virus is sent in a ZIP archive, allowing it to bypass extension blocking rules. However, this requires the end user to perform extra steps in order to actually execute the virus.
Search on Google for a fix.

RE:"There aren?t yet any virus definitions available from Symantec"

Symantec has REALLY been dropping the ball lately. I've been nailed by a bunch of worms and trojans viruses the last few months where I was getting them well ahead of Symantec writing definitins for them.
Heck, I had the Sobig virus back in February.

Symantec really drops the ball especially on trojans too.
You read the definition on the symanec website and it's vague too.

I had to break out the program called "The Cleaner" from moo-soft which finally found the trojans that Norton just didn't find.
If you DL "the cleaner"...do an update first before running it.
