Winrar Password protected RAR file question

Is there any way to crack the password that a RAR file was protected with? I want to unrar one of my old files that i forgot the password to. 🙁

Go back to where you got the file and look for a password.

I once tried 3 utilities that claimed would recover password for the RAR file. None worked! I gave up!

They use pretty tight encryption, especially if the password is long and uses %^&*@.

However, I think this topic might get locked...

eh, its on of my own Rar files that I created quite awhile ago. Crap I spent all night trying out passwords. I think I'm gonna give up. I didn't use any weird symbols in it I'm sure though.

do you remember how many characters you used for the password?
and what cracking software hare you used?

try arpr. it may take forever if you have lots of characters... but you'll get there soon or later.

I remembered what password I used! I have access to all my old photoshop work now.
