Assuming anyone has the file you're looking for, around 30 sec to 1 minute on my cable connection (Rogers.com)

If it justs keep timing out, I found restarting WinMX fixed it... though the popularity isn't nearly as high for WinMX as say Kazaa..


EDIT** This also assumes you're already at version 3.30

Yup, used to have WinMX...it was ok, but KazaaLite is so much better!

3.30, found network connection just fine... it never says "time out," just constantly waiting for results

there was one mp3 that i always looked for, but WinMX just would never give me a yea or nay as to whether or not it was available...

closing that search bar, and opening a new one didn't work, so i restarted WinMX, and it still wouldn't give me anything...

I assume it's a popular file you're looking for?? If not, then there just may be NO instances of it on the WinMX listings..
