Right. Which is why every time I think of maybe trying out Windows Phone, I hesitate because the hardware is so far behind similarly priced Android phones. Not only that but Windows phones probably suck for gaming anyway, if not for the hardware, then because games are less available and cost more. Basically the same problem Android had a couple years ago.

A huge chunk of these problems are likely to go away with Windows Phone 8 though, especially the dual-core SoC and HD screen support. After that, it's really all about the software.

WinMo (5.x/6.x) is "dead"

WP7 is here

WP7 is more like "New Windows 1.0" since nothing in old WinMo works with WP7 at all

I hope you realize WP7 is more "iPhone" than Android

specs determine game performance more likely... I haven't heard 'mobile office' running slow or calendar or email. Just gaming

When my SGS2 returns from repair the HTC titan II goes into the trash can. Seriously. I went a week with it first, and now I carry my Nexus S because I prefer talking on Whatsapp on it. Too bad Android is a lagfest, because the Nexus S still works great overall...
