I were planning to make a dual boot system with WinMe and Win2k. However, under WinME, the Win2k installation cannot initiate. Anyone have the same experience?

Once you have installed WinME then restart your computer and stick the win2k cd in. Once it boots off the CD and runs setup install it on you other drive or partition. It should work this way.

I've been trying to do the same thing w/ installing dual boot of Win 2k w/ Win ME. But for some reason, when I booted from the Win 2k CD it failed to detect my hard drive! Did I miss a step?

sweeching88, were you sucessful in installing W2k this way?

I'm also wondering if it's because of my ata controller (Highpoint 370) that somehow conflicted with the detection of the hard drive ... anyone know?

I had WinME on my system (on the "C" partition). I installed Win2K on "D" using the method described by urbantechie. After a week of running the dual boot I knew all I needed to know and dumped WinME like a hot potato. I now run Win2K exclusively.
