Is there any way to boot to DOS with cdrom support? It's just wonderful how microsloth removed the boot to dos option in the startup menu, especially when it's near to impossible anyway to boot from a cd..

well, like I said, I can't even boot from a bootable cd, and I can't boot from a boot disk. So is there any way to boot to dos w/o a boot disk/cd?

So, I'm understanding that you do not have a Floppy drive available? How did you install your OS? There is the option to create a dos startup disk under My Computer->Control Panel->Add/Remove Software, and select the startup disk tab. This will create a bootable floppy with CDROM support.

If that is really not an option, and that is the only machine available, there is another possibility available that I can think of. Go to the boot disk site and download a boot disk image that looks good. Then get a copy of loadlin.exe from a linux site or off a linux CD. Then see if you can open a session on DOS Mode (I'm not familiar with all this since I don't run any DOS only games), but I think it's something like run in DOS mode, and then see if you can do a loadlin of the boot disk image you downloaded. I make no guarantees, tho, and it may or may not work (probably won't).
