Ok, OT, but not as bad as other stuff that get's posted here. Heck, it's about Intel.

Congratulations to our very own Wingznut Pez for passing the Intel interview torture test! He was hired at Intel's Beaverton site yesterday.

This is of particular interest to me since I can use all the allies that I can find on this BBS.

Being that he was just hired and likely just out of school his title is probably along the lines of:

Something in wafer fabrication... Yes, I'll be wearing one of those bunny suits when I'm in the clean rooms.

Whether I'll be implementing the transistors, doping the silicon, etching the circuits... I'm not sure as of yet. Although it really doesn't matter. Any way you slice it, it'll beat the hell out of fixing Jeeps for a living.

A) I can use whatever I want. But, I've used intel for a while now, so it's not an issue.

B) My P3-700e is running at 1001mhz. I have no plans on backing it down.

C) We'll see. In six months they will be giving me a PC, as part of the benefits. Right now, they are getting a 1ghz machine. So, we'll see what I get then.

D) Hmmm... Sure, sounds like fun!

Beaverton, OR has a FAB there? I thought the closest one is in Hillboro, FAB17. Maybe I am just mistaking. Just came back from there last Sunday.

Just let you know one of Anandtecher - Untamo also live around there. Too bad I was too busy with work and never had the chance to stop by his theather.

Last summer I wear my free AMD T-shirt (heard from Anandtech Hot Deal from last year) into Intel site in Hudson, MA. Security wasn't that happy to see it. It's just a joke and see if they are really care about it. Guess they are.

Do you get a free PC promo (P3-933) as well? Anyway good luck to you, Wingznut PEZ.
