WinFast TV2000 XP TV/FM Tuner Driver Problem

Hi guys!

I just want to make my TV tuner work again. I just reformatted my PC and was trying to install the drivers and apps for my WinFast TV2000 XP TV/FM Tuner.

I'm using Windows XP SP2.

I found the info below in the FAQs for my problem

Q: Why can't I install the TV2000 XP driver properly? The system always ask me to install TV2000 driver after rebooting.
A: That must be IRQ confliction problem. Please rearrange your TV2000 XP into another PCI slot, then set the IRQ value of the PCI slot ( which TV2000 XP plug in ) in the CMOS setting and make sure it does not shared with other devices.

I already tried putting my card in a different PCI slot but it didn't work. Anyway, I don't know hot to "set the IRQ value of the PCI slot ( which TV2000 XP plug in ) in the CMOS setting and make sure it does not shared with other devices".

Hope someone can help me out. =)

I don't know if the info below has something to do with my problem. I used to run my tuner on Windows XP.

Q: Why I can not install TV2000 XP, I always got "Invalid data" as I install the driver? ( my OS is Windows XP and Windows 2000)
A: Because Windows 2000 and Windows XP disable the control ability of PCI interface. So you can not install a new PCI card on your system. Following procedure is the solution. 1.First remove those unknow devices in the "Device Manager". 2. Please run regedit (Windows XP) or reget32(Windows2000) from ( Start\run). 3.Then check the permission of full control as allowed in KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\system\Controlset001\enum\PCI. ( refer to the graphic )There are 3 position need to be changed. Controlset001\enum\PCI., Controlset002\enum\PCI., CurrentControlset\enum\PCI. Then restart your windows and install the driver again.

the default windows driver should recognize the card after it boots up. Does the OS recognize the card at all? It generally says "new hardware found" and it will run the "add new hardware wizard". Does it get that far or not?
