Wine or whiskey first?

When drinking should you start with whiskey or wine? There was a saying such as licqour before wine is fine. Wine before liqour makes you sicker. Ever heard of this saying or have a recommendation??

I don't know... it's never really mattered for me. I've had a bunch of beer and then a bunch of liquor and been fine, and vise versa. Wine is for women and frenchman.
