A friend was asking for one and he said his budget was about $500 for a 24 bottle cooler. Does anybody know of a good brand?

Any recommendations folks?

Thanks

I've bought two different wine coolers for my mother for bday gifts. She currently has a 16 bottle that I bought for $130 and it's good. I bought it when I worked at Lowe's. They have nicer ones than Home Depot but maybe try Sears or Amazon, Best Buy, or any other place that sells appliances. For $500 you should be able to get a pretty decent one. For that price I would get a dual zone one so you can have whites and reds at different temps.

same here, not what i was thinking.

also check out Fry's if you have one near by, I've seen coolers there when I lived in the Dallas area.

damn, i was going to mention something about member's only jacket.

cheap Igloo 46 bottle cooler for $177 at Lowe's a long time ago, on average i guess you can get a normal brand like GE or Fridgeaire(sp?)... you can get a even fancier one like avanti or vinotemp but with less capacity.

Get one that has at least dual zones. Also, one that doesn't output a lot of noise (if that is important to you)

Personally, I'd take his $500, and give him a case (6x 4-packs) of Bartles & Jaymes in return. That'd teach him to be more specific.
