WinDVD vs. PowerDVD

Well - I have PowerDVD and it's okay.... except it doesn't seem to like my Rage128 Pro in hardware mode. In software mode it works fine, but a black screen is never totally black... stupid dark grey "spots" all over.
So which do you guys prefer WinD or PowerD?

i personally prefer win dvd

i cant get svcds to work w/ power dvd

anyone have any other real basis in aruging why one is better than another?

PowerDVD 4.0 XP


supports VCD/SVCD properly, has DTS and Dolby Digital EX (7.1) decoding, Dolby Prologic 2, downmixes the LFE channel properly, has a bunch of video adjustments, etc.

PowerDVD 3.0 doesn't support SVCD, you have to play the .dat file on the VCD directly. The new version supports SVCD.

If you install powerdvd 3.0 you can use WMP to play svcd's.
