i'm using windvd 2.1 with windows millenium and all that goes with it, with a hercules geforce ddr-dvi, mx300, 128mb ram, 400@500 celeron and abit bm6. the problem is that anytime i pop in a dvd or cd it gives me a strange .dll error. specifically E:\quartz.dll file is corrupt. and it says that windows cannot access the drive. weird. can anybody help??? is there a way to get rid of that??? because the movie and cd player will play when i start up windvd or wmp and play it manually. and this problems goes away when i uninstall windvd.

oh and i have a pioneer 16x slot.

Can't really help you with WinDVD, but have you tried using the PCFriendly software that comes with many DVD movies? It works just as well as WinDVD for me, with a Pioneer 16x and Duron 650@750. It may work fine for you too. My Matrix and Terminator2 Ultimate Edition DVDs have this software, checkout your DVDs for it.

If WinDVD works as you seem to indicate when manually starting it, then you could just wait for Microsoft to fix WinME(it's a piece of crap IMO)or check to see if their is a patch for WinDVD.
