This is my first winter owning a car, so what do u guys put in the windscreen wash as far as freezing goes, do you put antifreeze in or do you just leave the water space to freeze or what?

The windscreen wash fluid should be preformulated not freeze on its own. But you dont want to put radiator antifreeze in your fluid resevior as it wasnt designed for that purpose.

Buy winter formula windshield washing solution...contains it's own anti-freeze.

Just go to Pep Boys/Autozone/whatever and buy windshield washer fluid. It's like $1.99 for a gallon or so. I can't give you a good reason (other than the freezing) why doing what you're doing is bad but the right stuff is so cheap there's no reason not to do it the right way.
