WindowsXP Firewall Problem maybe? Need Help!

After install XP pro I'm having trouble connecting to stuff. For example, on AIM I can't dirrect connect to people. When I try Wolfenstein MP test, it says it needs protocol version 56. Anybody have any idea how to fix this or what the problem even is?
 
Do you have XP's built-in firewall enabled?? If so, you are asking for MS to poke their noses into your private life (hard drive). If you want protection get a 3rd party software that will and can block MS. Just a thought, but you could use Linux.
