Most stuff works now on the 64-Bit side of the system.
The exceptions are mostly driver issues with printers & cameras.
Obviously there's little in the gaming world at this time.
QuickTime doesn't play either.
I have to boot from the 32-Bit side to print with the HP PSC 2210 - no 64 drivers . . yet.
My Creative & Minolta cameras only work on the 32-Bit side.
Haven't been able to get the SATA RAID to work - or even initiate on the 64-Bit.
Since I'm in a 'Dual-Boot' configuration, it's a minor annoyance, but we probably need to
harass the hell out of Creative, HP, Lexmark, Epson, 'Insert-Name-Here' until they respond
by producing a comprehensive driver package -
it is their responsibility to provide the drivers that make their products work, not Microsoft's.
Performance wise - It's a fast and crisp system in 32-Bit, and even sharper in 64-Bit -
I estimate I'm seeing maybe 10% better performance on the 64-Bit over the 32-Bit when
doing the exact same functions (except for the above mentioned driver issues).
I would guess that when Microsoft does officially release the 64-Bit in all it's glory, it will
be maybe another 5% - 10% better than the RC2 we're playing with now - better function
of memory & taking advantage of the 64-Bit CPU's design.
