Windows2k doesn't recognise USB Mouse

Win2K Won't recognise my usb mouse. I originaly used the regular mouse port, but I want to try using it with USB. How do I enable it?

check if USB is enabled in bios with irq assigned for it

check in system device manager to see if USB is working properly...

plug in mouse and restart, windows should recognize it... if it's an MS mouse or logitech, installing the software, then restarting usually works... in theses cases, even switching mice during a windows session should work...

Go into the BIOS and check if USB is enabled, if it is enabled and it still won't work go back to the BIOS and enable "Assign IRQ to USB"
