When I try and boot into XP everything will load and I can move the mouse around, but the computer just locks up and I can't click anything at all. When it loads it tries to install norton antivirus which is already installed. I am dual booting vista and xp off of the same drive and Vista loads without any problems.

any help would be great

Yes I can get to the desktop but I can't select anything. I can hit the windows key and the start menu will open but I can't select anything with the keyboard or mouse. I can also hit Ctrl Alt Delete and the task manager will show up but I can't do anything with it

I have defragmented the boot drive and it still has the same problem. I am going to try some other test and see what happens
