windows xp window problem?

after my comp has been on for a couple hours or something... it wont let me open new windows (or programs)... or get new text to come up...such as like right clicking on desktop...

a fix to this is to close out all the windows (or programs) then it will let me open new windows (or programs) again... i dunno what it is.. its weird...

anyone know a fix?

maybe it's ram issues?
have you tried to restore to a previous saved point ?

if not try that.

I think the newest patches fuxxor'd up my IE java.

I can't even get on to play games on Playsite anymore.

and ram i have 300ish mb free i have 512mb

hmph..another example is... clicking on a link and the window wont open no matter what..until i close this current window...

what ya mean?... say i double click IE it wont open the browser...

or i click a link... it wont open the window...

or i try to open AIM... the login prompt wont open until i close my running programs...then it will let me reopen everything.
