yes there are many updates availible for XP! Just update first thing after install from IE! Also before you switch make sure there are drivers availible for your hardware printers and scanners especially!

Trying to get through the insanity of the week before a wedding!!!The last of my kids is getting married and now I might have some pennies left to spend on myself!! LOLOL
I was going to buy a new hard drive and install the WinXP on the new drive. Right now, it's a toss-up between XP Home or Pro versions. I just might go buy the retail version of the WinVP upgrade and do a clean install to the new drive. Having read the info on the side of the retail upgrade box it says XP will look for a older version on the drive or other disk. (the info on the box was a little more detailed) It looks like it can be done that way.
