Windows XP Updates 8RDA+

I am running Windows XP Pro on a 8RDA+ M/B. Are there any Windows updates that should be avoided? Any known issues? Thanks for your help!

Any and all security updates. Not that they'll cause problems with the 8RDA+, but they can slow web browsing. At least, it appears that way to me.

I installed SP1A right after I loaded the OS (as was advised by numerous individuals) (there is a "A" version now) and have downloaded and installed most of the Critical Updates as well. I'm glad that you mentioned that it may slow web browsing because I have noticed that trend in my past computers and this one as well after I installed some of the updates. It's nice to know that it wasn't just a perception of mine. That was one of the reasons I initially asked if there was anything that people would advise not installing.

There were three I didn't install on my nForce 2:

810847: February 2003, Cumulative Patch for Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1
Q329441: Critical Update
810565: Critical Update

On of those three was causing Outlook Express to generate an Error report when I put several images in a new e-mail and then rapidly put blank lines between each image...really strange, but the error could be reproduced EVERY single time I tried it, and the only way to fix it was to not install the Windows Updates (I figured that out after about 3 reinstallations of XP). I eventually narrowed it down to those three...that means two of them are probably fine, but at least one is the source of the problem. I'm placing my bet on the first one in the list.
