This is WinXP Service Pack 2.

Till few days ago it was available only to Beta Testers.

This is the first public release of the pack.

Jack,

I downloaded SP2b Sunday evening (all 287MB of it!) and it was a smooth high-speed download.

It install smoothly, and adds many new features that all seem to work correctly except the AntiVirus detection feature. It fails to recognize that I have Norton AntiVirus installed . . . even though it appears on the list of suppliers of AV programs. Small problem . . . I just told it I wanted to monitor it manually and it quit bothering me <G>.

Swampster.

Thanks very much for the feedback.

BTW. Norton AV caused problems in previous upgrades too.

The way to deal with it in the past was to uninstall NAV before the upgrade and Re- Install it back after the Upgarde.

Don't start complaining about that though amdfanboy...

I don't want to see people complaining that stuff doesn't work when MS gets hammered all the time for not having strict default security.

As far as I'm concerned, its a good thing. kudos to MS

Agreed!

Actually if we combine the Complains Model, and Darwin's Theory.

We probably still be Monkeys sitting on trees.
