I had the torrent running here at work for a little bit, but I stopped it. I was pulling it at 175KB/sec and pushing 350KB/sec uploads. It had a lot of traffic, so it should work.

finished the torrent, i already have it slipstreamed into my windows install, will do a format later tonight or tommorow, i will post pics of application versions and report back sometime between late tonight and tommorow.

this is really pissing me off, I pull torrents down all the time @ 200-300kb/s, I have the right ports forwarded, etc. I have 9k done. Connected to 4 peers and 2 seeds.

The torrent one indeed has the exact same name and size as the one on the MS betas site. So go ahead and try that one 🙂

Stupid question; how do I download a torrent?

edit: err ok, got bit torrent, but the file doesn't download (stuck at 0 bytes). Is the torrent still available?

It's available for me but it's a lot slower than it was before:

81.0% (215.68MB downloaded)
Download rate: hovering between 2KB/s and 3KB/s. Upload rate: 0KB/s. Connected to 1 peer and 7 seeds. Total speed 5KB/s.
It was running at like about 30 down and 30 up earlier on but I really hope I get some more peers soon.

My friend had good luck using Azureus client (You do need a Java runtime though). He got peaks of like 90KB/s down and a pretty consistent 30KB/s or more.

i had succesfully slipstreamed it and then i forgot that i did not put the sata drivers into the install (oops, waisted cd-r) nero is in the middle of veryifiying the data so i can finish formatting it. sorry for por english, im typing this on another computer an i am not use to keybord.

I'm pulling a whopping 2.1kb/s off the suprnova Sp2 torrent

Shadenfroh, can you slipstream Nvidia Nforce drivers? What about video drivers?

I don't understand why my winver says:

Microsoft (R) Windows
Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158 : Service Pack 2)

Shouldn't it be 2180?

I slipstreamed SP2 already but I am not going to slipstream mobo/GPU drivers. They change too often for me to do that. Tomorrow I do a clean install with my shiny new XP SP2 disk.

ps - I sure am happy to be a part of the M$ beta testing program.

The torrent is a fake. The md5sum doesn't match. It should be 59a98f181fe383907e520a391d75b5a7 but I get 63f3e993118eb0a7100adc48b13f6d08c8f9d3a7.
