And another thing. Why are you guys salivating over a 266MB network install that you probably don't need? When it is pushed out through AU (which will happen within days for some people) it will be under 100MB.

We need the network install full size so we can do a slipstream cd.

Windows XP Service Pack 2 should have the following MD5 hash and filename and be 266.01MB in size:

md5: 59a98f181fe383907e520a391d75b5a7
filename: WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe

As always, I would only trust downloading Service Packs from Microsoft's site.

Yes, but how can we trust YOU hmm?? mwahahaha

Thanks Stash. Though my md5 sum matches the MS downloaded one it's always nice having MS to blame in case my slipstream goes poorly. :)

This may be a bit early with all the possible problems, but does anyone know how to install it without installing WMP9. I don't really care much about the media player itself but how it changes the IE activeX interface for the good old 6.4 like version. The 9 version sucks, it is slow, has less options, does not show download progress and most importantly cannot skip through streaming or incomplete downloads.

Is there any way to keep WMP8 or at least reinstall the old activeX interface.

Thanks
