Hello. I recently installed the Windows XP service pack. I let the install download and then let it run over night. When I woke up, it had finished. However, after restarting the machine, I found that the boot up process for Windows would take a long time. Not just five minutes or so, but closer to the twenty to thirty minute point. I played around and couldn't find anyway to fix it, so eventually, I just reinstalled Windows XP.
Last night I tried using Windows Update to again upgrade to the service pack, but I have the same problem. I am not stuck with a computer that takes forever to boot. If anyone has any ideas on how I could fix it, I would be grateful!
Thanks a lot!
