I have just gotten XP pro on a new dell. I have played around with several users names, adding and deleting and now have 4 - 5 user names (individual fam members etc). (all have limited rights) I installed Palm software on it using account with administration access and now i cannot access it from my regular user account (limited access).

how can I load software so that it would initially go to only 1 user (that persons name), 2) all users, 3 some users?
What is the password for built in administrator account?

administrator password is the one you put in when it was installed. Dont' tell me they gave you a computer without telling you the admin password! That sucks... You need to get it... a person would have put it in.

Computer came in with windows XP installed in it. I don't know the administrator password. Where should i look for it? or is it preset to something.
However, when i created my own account with administrative level access i assigned a password to it but that account is different than default administrator account right?

I don't believe that you could have added/changed user names without
administrator rights. Where on your drive did you install the program?
Sometimes the programs install in an individual user's directory rather
than the all users directory.................Greg

I did install under my administrator account which i created, not the default administrator account which was setup when i got my computer.

Userid: ABCD (this is the one i created and has administrative access)
Userid: xyz ( this one has limited access)

Userid: Administrator (this one came with the machine as default) I don't see this on my login screen but i was asked to enter a password for it when i tried to install a program under anoter userid: xyz (limited access account). I need to know the password of Userid: Administrator
