Ok i just got the 200gig 7200rpm 8mb cache Western Digital Special Edition harddrive and I had to re-install everything. Well i got everything running but when i turn the PC on and when it gets to windows the first problem is that it says i didn't install the Mobo drivers which i already did. Not only that but when i'm listening to any kind of audio it skips about every 15-30 seconds. I installed the newest drivers for everything and i don't know what is wrong. I've installed XP many of times and i've never run into this before. Help would be greatly appreciated. If you want to know my pc specs then i'll list them below just incase.....

No expert here, so do at your own risk... You might try removing the items that You are having trouble with in the device manager and reboot and let it reinstall the drivers again.

You're using a Sounblaster Live with the VIA 686B southbridge and even though I rarely have heard of the issue popping up when coupled with the AMD 761 northbridge you just described the classic symptoms of the compatability issue that the SBLive has with the 686B. Here's an article you'll find helpful Link I linked you to the page that shows the data corruption and audio skipping and links you to the patch and FAQs for the issue. You would do well to update to the latest bios for your board as well if you have not already done so.
