She can log on in safe mode using her password . In normal mode when she enters her password,it seems to load,then goes back to the screen asking for user password . ??

Your best bet is to make a new profile and see if her profile got messed up.

You need to boot up off of the windows xp cd and go to the Recovery console.

Once at the console type in the following:

cd system32

Then type:

copy userinit.exe wsaupdater.exe

type exit and let the pc reboot

you should now be able to log into windows.
