Some weeks ago my keyboard seemed to been dead so while testing different combinations on how to attach it to the computer I did a lot of power on/off while windows loaded, as I just needed to see my lights flash on the keyboard to know it was functionally. So I got my keyboard working again, and ofcourse winXP scans my harddrives C+D (two partitions on same drive) for errors, which was expected after the procedure. The problem is that now it scans my D drive everytime it starts loading windows, very annoying.

Anyone knows how to turn it off?

If I were you I would use the HDD manufacturer's diagnostic software to check the drive before turning this option off (assuming you can turn HDD scanning off).

Just to make sure there are no problems with the drive.

I've already scanned it with check for bad sectors , and it would be strange only to scan D:

I just had this happen to me. Try this; try running defrag on the drive letters its scanning every time. Does it tell you that this drive is scheduled for a HD scan and cannot procede? If so, it will say to run chkdsk /f.
Open a command prompt and type: chkdsk (insert drive letter here) /F
It should say that you must dismount the drive in order to continue, say yes. Now it should run a check disk scan in DOS. Once its finished you should be able to reboot without it scanning anymore.

Hopefully that helps you.
