If I install a program while I'm logged on as admin shouldn't it work under any other profile? Does it matter if the profile is created before or after the program is installed? I'm trying to get something running and the only profile it will work under is the admin. Then I tried installing it under one of the other profiles, but an error message pops up at the begining of the install. The user profile is set up as a "power user" so installing progs shouldn't be a prob?

Can anyone elaborate on this profile stuff?

Thanks,

hi,

no. admin install a program may not apply to all user, unless you specific for all users or the program asked you if you want to apply to all users.
some program require user have admin right to run it, due to inside the program certain component require more right then power user can handle.

several program requuire be admin to be install, power user is close to admin but certain key part is denied. so you get error msg is common.

one little trick. you can copy your admin user profile to the user profile, then the user may able to run the program, but some program are tricky and must require admin right, unless you modify the register right of the user.(more complex so i just mention to you)
