Windows XP password recovery w/o boot from drive?

Hi, is it possible to get the password to a Windows XP system without using a boot CD such as orphcrack? I can't boot to the drive of this computer and need to do it from within Windows (if possible as a user who does NOT have admin access).

Any thoughts?

It's been a while since I've looked at this stuff, but I don't think that's going to be possible. As a standard user you won't be able to get the password hashes to even attempt to brute force them.

I have downloaded Windows Password Recovery Tool 3.0 . it not only supports XP, 2000, and NT, I have personally tested it with Vista and Windows 7. It works perfectly to reset any local user account to a blank password. I Wrote it to an old 128mb USB flash drive do this. Booting up and clearing a password takes a minute or two works like a charm. It supports cd/dvd too.

And if you actually read the OP you'll see that he can't use any offline attacks.

If you can't boot to Windows, it is not possible to do it within Windows.

Think about removing the HDD and putting it in a USB external case and accessing it from another machine.
