I just got two WD Raptor 36GB drives and I am hooking them up to my DFI LanpartyUT NF3 250Gb board...

They hook up just fine, recognized in BIOS, I go to RAID setup and made a RAID 0 array out of them... RAID setup in the BIOS shows that I have a 69GB RAID drive...

Yet I popped in my RAID disk that came with my motherboard, pressed F6 at setup to install the drivers, installed both drivers on the disk, and when it asks me to select an OS, it just shows two separate 35GB drives!

WTF is going on? Please feel free to embarrass me by pointing out some easy answer but I am at my wit's end!

Thanks and Merry Christmas to all...

Do yourself a favor and do not put the OS on a Raid 0 array, performance will be worse than if it were on a single 36gb Raptor. Raid 0 is great for transfering very large files, Not transfering many small files (such as an OS).

Remember you can never make access speeds of a drive faster, but you can slow it down due to the data having to all be run through a Raid conntroller to get striped.

Can you just please help me with my problem instead of telling me what to do? I've worked with several RAID arrays in the past and all the Raptor RAID 0's are stupidly fast. Read some articles (including those on AT) and RAID 0 arrays are faster, not by much, but faster than a single drive.

If you can't give me any troubleshooting help then don't! :disgust:
