I know McAfee tells you there are updates available and that you need administrative rights to do the updates, but is the same true for Norton/Symantec antivirus? If so, is there any way around this? Can you run updates as administrator? As far as I know, McAfee doesn't allow you to download updates and install manually. I'm working with someone with a small number of individuals, so creating a server-controlled antivirus seems overkill, but I also don't want to need someone to manually log in as an administrator each time there are updates.
