windows xp license question

I have several computers and several copies of windows xp. How can I tell which copy belongs to which computer. Also how can a make an illegal install legal without losing everything on the computer?

Use Everest Home Edition or Belarc Advisor .. they will tell you the Keys
associated with the Software installed on your computer ... you can get
both of them at majorgeeks.com

I wish I would have thought to find out my key before I uninstalled Windows. Heh.
