Windows XP keeps looping w/ new setup

I am installing Windows XP with new setup and the setup went fine, but I installed SP1a from a cd and after restarting it just comes to the loading windows xp screen and restarts. It doesn't even enter windows.
Here is my setup:
Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe mobo
Athlon 3000+
2 Corsair XMS pc3200 512mb modules
maxtor serial ata 160gb hard drive (non raid setup)
Ati 9600 pro
Sound Blaster Audigy2

How do you enable bus mastering?? anyone??

This a$$hole has bumped your thread several times and pointed you to the correct forum for your question. If you are going to be a nancy boy about it then that's your problem...

 
Did you choose to archive your files during the service pack installation? If so, you have a hidden folder created under your windows folder called $NTServicePackUninstall$. You can boot to the recovery console, change to that folder, and run the uninstall batch file in the spuninst subfolder in the uninstall folder.

No problem. We have a batch file we send people as well if we suspect there is something messed up with a previously working installation that backs up all the files in the system32 directory, deletes them, then repopulates them from the ServicePackFiles folder.

Nothing like refreshing your core system files to the last service pack level you installed to fix file mismatch errors. 🙂
