I have a friend who is having some big troubles on Windows XP Home. It keeps rebooting at random intervals. After checking the error log it seems to imply that something has gone wrong and it must do a memory dump and then reboot...it doesn't so much as shut down as it simply "resets" the system.
Do some Modems cause lockups etc in Windows XP even if they are V.92 with XP Drivers?
It has complained about running low on virtual memory at some points too (Virtual Memory is set at 1024mb expandable to 3300mb which is what Windows set it to).
He also got this message:
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
Here Is the memory dump file
It's an ECS KT333 Based Board, AMD Athlon XP 2200+, 3x 256mb DDR PC2100 RAM, 60gb Seagate Barracuda Hard Drive, Conexant 56k V.90 Modem, Firewire Card, Geforce2 MX400 Graphics, Onboard Sound.
