Windows XP installation

This is not the problem with my computer, but another computer in my house will not load XP. I have downloaded the 6 XP bootdisks and they will load and bring me to the windows setup, but on the other computer, the screen simply goes black after the 6th disk. I can't think of anything that can be wrong with it.
Any help would be appreciated.
thx

The XP cdrom is bootable. Go to your bios and make the cdrom boot first, save, put the xp cd in the drive, reboot, setup should start.
